Grapefruit seed extract

Once in a while I stumble upon something amazing while searching for new ideas and such, this time it's grapefruit seed extract. Originally I wanted a natural preservative for liquid soap, I don't use chemicals and want the soap to last a bit longer so I went looking around the net for ideas, I stopped at grapefruit seed extract and wish I had known about it sooner.

Grapefruit seed extract has been proven to be safe and effective for a wide range of uses. It's a broad spectrum meaning it can be used for many purposes both internally and externally, you can read all about it here. Externally it can be used for acne, athletes foot, infections, warts, rashes, cold sores, herpes, head lice and so much more. Internally some of the uses include gastrointestinal disorders, diarrhea, food poisoning, colds, flu, sore throat, ear inflammation and it's effective against drug resistant bacteria.

Not only am I using it as a natural preservative, I'm using it to wash off vegetables like spinach, I don't want the risk of ecoli infection after the last scare, it can happen too easily.
